"Back the Attack Main Poster"
This poster was issued by the US Government in 1941. It continued to be produced until 1945.
The following slogan was used to inspire patriotism and collect funding for the war machine.
“Buy a part for your jeep. Back the attack!” Your bond or stamp starts a jeep down the ramp”
It was often placed in schools whereby each child could contribute a few pennies until there was enough money to buy a part. The part was subsequently cut from the sheet of parts and attached to the main poster in its proper position. I have no info on how successful this promotion became, but imagine it to have built a substantial number of Jeeps.
